Not to derail the discussion but I have decided that Crown Royal Northern Harvest is actually just a Very Good $60 Rye sold for $40.

speaking of rye, i think i shied away from buying the bulleit bourbon because i bought a bottle of their rye early on in my experimentation.

but i will definitely be buying a bottle of their bourbon to keep in my poopty little apartment now that i've had it.

I've only been drinking for about 4 years so my tastes for things are still developing, though.
