i don't get any of the weller around here.

i remember one time i saw some on a shelf (an obvious mis-shipment because god forbid we ever actually have it) but i didn't know what it was yet and just sort of wrote it down in my phone to try later.

later of course never came as it sold out and never EVER returned.

when i go in that store i always have flashbacks and end up rocking back and forth, curled up on the floor under the bags of peanuts and pretzels.

i will definitely report back when i try it.

have a little bit of a lingering cough and congestion from a cold and i don't want to try it until i'm sure my entire sense of taste is back. you know how that works.

a little afraid because the reviews all say it's "unique" and that you'll "love it or hate it", but at the same time that's kind of exciting. i just hope they don't mean unique like that washington wheat (where unique meant "the only bourbon you'll ever drink that tastes like paint!")

they're right when they call the bib & tucker unique. but it's not like you can't tell you're drinking bourbon.

i think it gets a bad rap on the internet because i was truly afraid it was going to taste really strange after some of the things i read.

sure it's different but it's a kind of sweet different that i don't mind at all. it's not overpoweringly sweet but it somehow leaves a candy-like sweetness on your tongue and the roof of your mouth but still is dry at the end, which is a neat trick.

honestly no.

there's nothing that stands out about it enough to justify the price. it's $50 here and i'd say it tastes like a $35 bottle.

i would absolutely buy buffalo trace or bulleit before this and they're about half the price they're asking for this.
