so tonight i am having another bourbon that comes in a cool bottle. willett pot still reserve. it comes in a bottle that looks like a genie bottle but after a while you realize it's shaped like a pot still! it's genius!

i honestly didn't have a real ton of hope for it when i received it last christmas. i was enthused to try something new but i wasn't sure if i had ever heard of the bourbon.

anyway, it's 94 proof which i think is more that that hot stuff from last night so i was expecting trouble but it is very smooth for its octane. it has a burn, don't get me wrong. and it's a burn that stays with you looong after the sip. but somehow it just works. it's still totally drinkable and enjoyable.

it shocked the poop out of me with my first sip. it's maybe a spicy one where i go more for a sweet one but this is a really impressive bourbon. and i have to admit it's still very sweet, they just somehow find a way to make this all work together really well. very interesting. there's a lot going on with it. flavors are kind of flying everywhere.

i really like this. i hope it's not too too expensive because it's a bourbon i'd like to try to have a bottle of at all times, you know the kind i mean?

anyway, it's good poop. try it maybe.

i am having some of your peoples crown royal northern harvest rye.

i'd imagine this is considered the best crown royal? or do they have some special $100 bottle of something?

i capped the night off with some gentleman jack.

it's good but still no whiskey compares to a nice bourbon to me.

i taste bananas in it (code!) which is nice.

all roads always lead right back to the buffalo trace for me. is that weird?

either i have very indiscriminating tastes or this is very underrated.

or both.

something.

it's very normal

it would be my go to if bulleit were not just about the same in quality and so much less in price

i haven't bought bourbon in months, since i got that eagle rare. might be time to get another bottle of something different. maybe a 10 year bulleit

alarms are also going off regarding my buffalo trace supply but i know a relative is bringing me a bottle as a housewarming gift so it's only like a half-panic situation.

also, i am glad i got a bottle of the 1792 since every barrel ever made is rolling down a hill in kentucky.
