my unrelenting heartburn made me contemplate this as well as my future. it made me sit down and have an interventjohn with myself.

i think what i need to do is go buy a couple of the big boys of buffalo trace. if i'm gonna drink it almost every day i need a reserve on hand at all times so i don't get the shakes and find myself contemplating shots of crown royal vanilla or 5 year old bad scotch.

i might even buy three. it's like an investment. an investment in my happiness. my sanity.

forgot to mention i got a nice set of glencairn glasses for christmas (so i feel pretty fancy now) and i also bought myself a nice set of 130th anniversary four roses glasses in a gift pack.

i had never heard of this but they wrote it on its own little chalkboard so it must be worth trying. kickbro actually ordered it. i was afraid the name meant it was gonna be made with some kind of peaty, scotch-like bourbon.

once it came out and we saw what was happening we were like "oh weird but i get it now." and then the girl poured it into the glass with all the manhattan accoutrement.

our first thought was that the joke was on us and someone just blew a newp in the bottle but it smelled like a chimney or a campfire.

it barely affected the taste though. i tried some and i may have detected a little smokiness at the very end of the sip but i'm not even sure. that could have just been my feeble, fragile mind playing tricks on me.
