Great stuff dude. This is the kind of off season stuff I wish our previous bloggers would have engaged in. Keep gathering all the background info with every roster player, some of it is actually pretty interesting.

Training camp is certainly going to be very interesting this year. Quite a few guys that may or may not make the roster based on how they look in camp.

In some ways I'd love to see Risto go down and load up the Rochester roster this year. But in others I think he may be ready to have full time duty in Buffalo.

True. Albeit they play like an All_star game, its still our boys and still hockey.

I think Risto should be with the big club, all signs point to it and I've heard nothing but good things about him throughout the offseason.

I like the D lineup as is so far; heres how I think it should look:

Myers Gorges
Risto Pysyk
Benoit Mezaros
Weber (waive him please)

I would consider this a make or break year for Ruhwedel, as McCabe will most likely be the 5 or 6 D next year maybe even in the top 4, and Zadorov will likely be in the picture as well... I could see '15-'16 going like this:

Risto Pysyk
Zadorov Gorges... time will tell

Also I see a lot of post on the web about who the captain should be, growing up through travel, prep, and junior hockey we always voted for our captains, I don't see why more hockey teams at a pro level don't do this....

i'm with ya, goosie...that's what I originally thought might happen, but it looks as if McCabe, bagnall and ruhwedel will be anchoring the d...which isn't so bad...bagnall mentored risto, no reason why he can't do the same for McCabe
