I hope Reinhart starts to tear it up against prospects or he won't make it past the nine game tryout with the Sabres. I remember when Phil Housley was on fire in his preseason games as a Sabre coming out of high school against some NHL players, that is what a top draft pick should do in my opinion, especially against lower prospects. - GilPerreault11

According to James Tanner, Max Domi is a 100 pt player and Gagner is a lock for a 65-70 point year - sbroads24
To say they are "lock" for a playoff spot in the west, that one article blew my mind. |

It's still a very good chance we do not get one of McDavid or Eichel. I do not see us finishing dead last. Unless Neuvirth is as bad as he is in NHL15. Real Life is much different than a video game, so I don't see that happening. - thatsapickle
There isn't really any other team that can challenge us for last though. |

And the moves made this year were for what, a championship run?
Gorges, Gionta are somehow significantly better than Ott and Miller?
Last year our top goal scorer was Moulson
This year our top goal scorere is Moulson
Once they fired regier they sent the kids back down and brought the vets in, team was still poop, just a little older.
Again I'm not saying they are set for 30th but looking at the roster depth, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone surprised if they finished bottom 3 (or dead last). - Sabresfan-365
I'm putting $20 down in Vegas that they make the playoffs.
Worst case scenario is I'm out $20 bucks.
Best case scenario is my playoff tickets are paid for.

Once the injuries start rolling there will be a few. Anyone of these bubble teams could poop the bed.
Carolina could start off ice cold and trade both staals, suddenly they're right there with us. Same goes for teams like Arizona, Calgary, Ottawa.
Heck, the year we drafted Ristolainen most fans thought we were going to challenge for a Playoff spot. |

ya but what if WE have injuries? Hello last place. Also the sens are the only team I can see being almost as bad as us, maybe the canes IF they trade staal. |

He's such a homer for the most part IMO, makes these fan boy blogs and then backs them up with a "weirder things have happened" argument and calls it logical.

U don't think that your top 9 is better than last year? I do
Rw - Gionta, Stewart, Stafford
Lw - Moulson, Reinhart, Foligno
C - Hodges, Ennis, Girgs
and whoever else could surprise the line-up that I might not know about. Im not saying its top-flight talent, but the east is not that dominant....
Now don't get me wrong, the D is a ? and G is a ? but Nolan is a good coach!!!! |

Being better than last year and being good are not the same thing. They were 14 points clear of 2nd last. If they had won 14 more games last year they'd still be bottom 5.
Again for the third time, I'm not saying they are a lock for last, plenty of teams that could derail and fall to the bottom, but it wouldn't surprise anyone if they did.

I predict they will finish 4-6. With the two top guys in the upcoming draft, you will see a team or two at the beginning of the season start off slow and pack it in. |

That's actually about where I see them as well. I know it will piss a lot of fans off but there's still plenty of talent to choose from in that range, plus the other two picks.
Although If I'm being honest, I really wish that we were one of those teams |

I can understand not coming in dead last (even though it is extremely likely) but 4-6, I don't think that's even possible. |

Yea, I was trying to be nice. He also has repeatedly said that OEL is the 2nd best player in the league behind Crosby. While Ekman-Larsson is great, he's no where near the 2nd best defensemen let alone player |

I'm pretty sure he's just some random Coyotes fan that Ek hired because he couldn't find a real blogger |
