The more I see and read about Nicholas Aube-Kubel the more I think he has a chance to become a star. Man, this team is gonna be tough to beat in a couple years and has the potential of winning championships. It's fun watching the puzzle pieces coming together |

Laughton on tomorrow's game:
"All summer you're waiting to try and hit someone. I'm sick of all these skill drills."
A true Flyer answer if there ever was one. I hope Washington brought extra ice packs. |

But on the powerplay he'd be planted high slot (leaning towards Giroux's side). That's just slightly off from his sweet spot which would be the high slot on the RW side. And during a powerplay cycle it wouldn't matter if he's more comfortable coming in off the wing. He'd just need to control a high slot area physically. - JAKEw1234
Lecavalier needs to make some adjustments to his game. He certainly favors the right side of the ice, and has his whole career. But maybe it's time for an old dog to learn new tricks.

Sorry if this was brought up. Too lazy to read back.
For all of you Eagle fans out there, if anybody is interested in acquiring a small piece of Philly memorabilia, LeSean McCoy's famous (infamous) receipt from his 20 cent tip is being auctioned off on eBay.
The current bidding has it up to $85,778.00 with over 4 days to go.

Would rather be watching hockey. Loosing interest innthis game. I keep switching to American Ninja Warrior. Where'd the dynamic Eagles offense go? |

Bill Meltzer: Meltzer's Musings: Power Play Units, Rookie Camp Updates - bmeltzer
While I'm a believer that Del Zotto is on a tryout, even though he's making guaranteed money, I think he should have equal opportunity with offensive chances as Streit. Reason being, it's both their bread and butter to be offense defenseman but also the interesting point to expect Streit to adjust to both sides in a game. Streit is a pro but still has his shortcomings when paying attention to details defensively. If Del Zotto is a natural on the left side, give him PP opportunity with Giroux. Allow Del Zotto to succeed here.
I am somewhat excited to see how we replace Hartnell in the middle of the umbrella. I remember Gagne being effective there for along time. If Schenn has a more dangerous shot then Hartnell, give it a go. Schenn is a gritty forward, he'll learn and will have to learn to dig in those corners. He might end up on the wing anyway, which might help.
If Lecavalier is as useless as some make him out to be 5 on 5, I want him to see as much first unit time as possible to make the money worth it. Problem is, Voracek and Lecavalier play close to the same area on the PP. Voracek and Lecavalier might work together if they can get away from the umbrella, which I'd consider doing depending on the personnel being used this season on the first unit. I don't see much of a change up coming though. It's also a tough choice because I love Lecavalier's shot but Voracek's puck management and playmaking is too good to remove from the first unit. |
