I know this tournament doesn't hold a lot weight in the hockey world but jeez. Its gone about as bad as it could.

All-Star teams fail!!

Besides one could argue the players that could make the biggest difference besides Reinhart are with their college teams or still over seas.

Well let's look at it this way they won it years ago and I'm pretty sure that no one turned into Crosby from it.

I don't really care it went that poorly either. It's not like the guys that were on the team that won a few years ago have killed it at the NHL level. Maybe a bad team in the tourney will have guys that turn out better.

I care more about how they do individually when surrounded by vets than I do about a tournament that means nothing.

I agree, to an extent, goosie...this tournament, I believe, is a gauge as to how the youngins stand next to their peers...these are the players they'll be playing against if and when they make it to the nhl...if it was completely meaningless, why bother?...methinks that tim murray isn't very pleased

If this tournament came right after development camp, I'd be more worried. But since the majority of these guys have never played together before, it's not uncommon to have issues finding chemistry. Some teams manage to do it quickly, and those are the ones that come out on top. It doesn't mean that the prospects we have lack talent or that they're not going to pan out. It mostly just means that they probably need a bit more time in the incubator of their Jr team or Rochester.

I'm looking forward to NHL Hockey. Because I am a Sabres fan, this means I will have to wait until 2015-16.

agreed...but, by the looks of it, nearly all of the players not slated for Rochester already need much more incubation

There's plenty of other NHL hockey to watch during the week as well. The games are much more accessible than they used to be.

I'm fine with that. No need to rush them anyway. With the signings they made to fill out the roster, there's not much room in either Buffalo or Rochester at the moment. If anything, doing not so great might be better. Now they know they have to go back to their respective teams and each have a list of things that they need to work on. It's all about development. If they did well, they might be less pressed to learn from it and the bad habits continue to stick around.

If you can't tell, I'm a glass half full kind of person.

Too complicated for a simple minded dolt like me. I'm a foxhole guy: I like my team and my broadcast team, and I hate everybody else. I get confused if I try to figure out other teams and their channels.

You don't have to figure out other channels, they're on NBC Sports. But, I get what you're saying to a point. I'm just a huge fan of hockey in general, so I watch as many games as possible

If I'm Buffalo, my only real concern in this is Joel Armia.

The guy has a ton of talent. He's a stud. But also puts in infuriatingly mediocre efforts at times. Hopefull the AHL grinds that out of him.

If preseason means nothing, then this tournament is the exact inverse of the result of the season.

DON CHERRY, Canadian Hockey Commentator for CBC Television, was asked on a local live radio talk show what he thought about the allegations of torture of suspected terrorists. His reply prompted his ejection from the studio, but to thunderous applause from the audience.

HIS STATEMENT:

"If hooking up the rag-head terrorist's testicles to a car battery to get the truth out of the lying little camel shagger will save just one Canadian life or one American life, then I have only three things to say:
'Red is positive, black is negative, and make sure his nuts are wet."

He's very much like Vanek. All the talent he could need, but lacks a lot of the will to use it all consistently.

yeah...we need squirrely for some balance...surprised he hasn't made an appearance...the "top prospect system" in the nhl just laid an egg at traverse city...

btw...the person with that list, according to kevin oklobzija, is randy cunneyworth

Makes sense. I believe he's in some sort of player development role. Just can't think of the exact title he has.

That scares me a little, he has little experience in that area and his brief moment as an NHL head coach was a disaster.
