I don't really care it went that poorly either. It's not like the guys that were on the team that won a few years ago have killed it at the NHL level. Maybe a bad team in the tourney will have guys that turn out better.

I care more about how they do individually when surrounded by vets than I do about a tournament that means nothing.

I agree, to an extent, goosie...this tournament, I believe, is a gauge as to how the youngins stand next to their peers...these are the players they'll be playing against if and when they make it to the nhl...if it was completely meaningless, why bother?...methinks that tim murray isn't very pleased

If this tournament came right after development camp, I'd be more worried. But since the majority of these guys have never played together before, it's not uncommon to have issues finding chemistry. Some teams manage to do it quickly, and those are the ones that come out on top. It doesn't mean that the prospects we have lack talent or that they're not going to pan out. It mostly just means that they probably need a bit more time in the incubator of their Jr team or Rochester.

I'm looking forward to NHL Hockey. Because I am a Sabres fan, this means I will have to wait until 2015-16.

I'm fine with that. No need to rush them anyway. With the signings they made to fill out the roster, there's not much room in either Buffalo or Rochester at the moment. If anything, doing not so great might be better. Now they know they have to go back to their respective teams and each have a list of things that they need to work on. It's all about development. If they did well, they might be less pressed to learn from it and the bad habits continue to stick around.

If you can't tell, I'm a glass half full kind of person.

Too complicated for a simple minded dolt like me. I'm a foxhole guy: I like my team and my broadcast team, and I hate everybody else. I get confused if I try to figure out other teams and their channels.

You don't have to figure out other channels, they're on NBC Sports. But, I get what you're saying to a point. I'm just a huge fan of hockey in general, so I watch as many games as possible

If I'm Buffalo, my only real concern in this is Joel Armia.

The guy has a ton of talent. He's a stud. But also puts in infuriatingly mediocre efforts at times. Hopefull the AHL grinds that out of him.

If preseason means nothing, then this tournament is the exact inverse of the result of the season.

He's very much like Vanek. All the talent he could need, but lacks a lot of the will to use it all consistently.

I'm fine with that. No need to rush them anyway. With the signings they made to fill out the roster, there's not much room in either Buffalo or Rochester at the moment. If anything, doing not so great might be better. Now they know they have to go back to their respective teams and each have a list of things that they need to work on. It's all about development. If they did well, they might be less pressed to learn from it and the bad habits continue to stick around.

That scares me a little, he has little experience in that area and his brief moment as an NHL head coach was a disaster.
