Take a look at the 2007 NHL draft and some of the defenseman taken ahead of Subban. Flyers weren't the only team that missed that boat.

But most experts had Subban as the best available defenseman when Marshall was picked. I wouldn't chide them for not selecting him in the first round or well before he was predicted to go but when he's the best available, I feel a little disappointed.

I'd agree with Bill that Madison Bowey stood out. Aside from the hit on Morin, seemed really calm and confident with and without the puck. I think that pick will turn out to be a steal for them.

Is this sarcasm? Trouba's good (better than anyone currently on the Flyers defense), but Pouliot just tied the WHL record for playoff scoring by a defenseman. I'd at least let the guy skate a few games in the NHL before calling that pick a "major goof."
