Reinhart is a beast.

He played in the WHL. It's a very physical league. He dominated.

He'll be a great center in the NHL someday.

I know. Our GM stinks and we have this bum of an owner who is so cheap and not even committed to Buffalo. We need to run him out of town NOW!

While everyone from the fans right up to Tim Murray would have liked to see a better showing, at the same time I don't think anyone should panic about it. None of these guys have to be on the NHL roster this year, so there's still time to let them grow more and figure a few things out.

It's just like the NFL pre-season (ok maybe not just like it) it's pretty meaningless when all is said and done.

Not a great player like a Toews or Crosby or Doughty, but a good solid guy who might average a point per game in his prime.

I think we all knew Mr. Squirrel's response was coming. Someone was asking for it the other day. Honestly, it's pre-pre-season. It's just a way for the kids to get their legs before they go up against seasoned veterans to show what they really have.

A friend of mine actually asked the other day why they even had to have the finance committee approve it since they were paying cash.

Obviously there's more that goes into it than just the purchase price. Things like "Does this person still have enough to be able to operate the franchise" among others.

That's always a gray area though because of blackouts. Technically, they're supposed to black it out, but the cable and satellite companies are sporadic when it comes to pushing the button.
