That's always a gray area though because of blackouts. Technically, they're supposed to black it out, but the cable and satellite companies are sporadic when it comes to pushing the button. - buffalofan19
They are only supposed to black it out when the local tv broadcaster is showing the game. So you don't end up with a split audience. The local tv broadcaster has priority for its sponsors. Therefore this should be on nhl network. |

"Sam has all the tools, but the question will be is he physically strong enough to play against NHL players. That's the question mark for me, and I hope he makes it easy for us and plays so well that he leaves no doubt."
from Sabres director of player personnel, kevin devine - Michael Pachla
My opinion as well should have drafted Bennett

I always thought it was the opposite - that if the big national channel is covering it, your local network loses it.
You guys don't get all those NHLN/NBC Sports game dates on MSG, do you? |

Ken, I started watching The Walking Dead last week. Pretty good stuff - sambarugh
I live about 20 Min from where they film. The set of that show is huge! It's its own little town.
After they are done filming they are going to turn it into an actual town people can live in... |

Welcome back.
Your dreams were your ticket out.
Welcome back,
To that same old place that you laughed about,
Well the names have all changed since you hung around.
But those dreams have remained and they've turned around.
And who'd've thought they'd lead ya,
(Who'd've thought they'd lead ya)
Back here where we need ya.
(Back here where we need ya.)
Yeah we teased him a lot,
'Cause we got him on the spot.
Welcome back.
(Welcome back. Welcome back. Welcome back)
(Welcome back. Welcome back.)

NBC Sports gets special "exclusive" nights, and they also get nights where they do share with the local network. In the latter instance, the games are blacked out on NBCSN and carried on MSG. For the former, NBCSN gets the games and MSG doesn't even air it. |

That would be if NBC or NBCSN has the game. NHL network rarely does its own broadcasts and just simulcasts one of the 2 local broadcasts. In this case I'm guessing is Washington. Think about it, why on earth would NHL Network send a broadcast team to Washington, carry the game nationally and not show the game to the local markets? |

Gotcha. Haven't been "in market" for a very long time so I wasn't sure how it gets shown up there.
Regardless, sabres.com only says NHLN for Sunday (and the following Sunday), so I'm guessing it won't be blacked out there. |

To get people to piss and moan to their cable provider to get their channel. |

Yes, he meant billion. And yes, all cash. He just sold off land rights for about 1.75 billion a few months ago. I'm guessing that's where this is coming from. |

And imagine he is still worth twice as much. A tenth of a percent of that money could set a person for life... |

I know. Our GM stinks and we have this bum of an owner who is so cheap and not even committed to Buffalo. We need to run him out of town NOW! - Buffalo-Sabres
I like the GM and owner, it's Kevin Devine who is the problem, he was darcys best buddy and has never made a great first rd pick. He said Reinhart is the most skilled player he's seen in 15 years, better than Crosby, Malkin etc... Devine is a joke. |

I'm 100% certain that you're taking what he said about Reinhart completely out of context. |

Time will tell. I was on here female doging about the Bills management and EJ Manuel having no talent 2 weeks ago. Now who's the a$$? (this guy). |

Long season. It's going to be full of "told you he's good" one week, and "told you he sucks" the next. |

Sure, but its more than the QB. Its the coach and the entire teams ability to compete. They've at least proven they can do that. |
