on PS3 and Xbox 360 it's the same as NHL 14....even the gameplay is not as much different. I've heard good things on the PS4 and Xbox1 but didn't play yet

Yeah, last gen only the commentary is new apparently.


Next gen is a chopped down version missing some big modes. EASHL or whatever the hell it's called is gone, lots of people pissed off about that.

on PS3 and Xbox 360 it's the same as NHL 14....even the gameplay is not as much different. I've heard good things on the PS4 and Xbox1 but didn't play yet

They said that the stick control is a lot better for deking, they reproduce all arenas, over 5000 live fans more "alived" with sign of players that will cheer if you win but booed you if you play poorly. Pre-Game show and some other little ting like those

It looks great. The arenas are kick ass. They did a lot of work on making sure they looked perfect. The start of the games has video of said arenas, which is a nice change from it being a rendered video that we usually see. But if you're gonna play it, turn off the commentary. So bad.

It's all on the writing. These guys aren't actors, they're sportscasters. They have to act to do these voice overs for games. It's never as fluid as a game on tv, they can't just make poop up on the fly. So when a complete bone head comment is said, it's gets used over and over and it just makes it so crap.

Now that doesn't seem so bad, but the way Emmerick says it, he says it as if he's talking to a 4 year old.

I remember when 2k was still Visual Concepts, they had Bob Cole and Harry Neale for one game. At least I think it was still Visual Concepts. But even the most iconic voices from my generation sounded so bad.

I'm probably going to wait one year and buy a next gen with BHL 16. For now, the price is too high and there not many games. I'll continue to play to NHL14 when I'm alone and play the 15 with some friends that have it

Waiting is the smart thing to do. Xbone was 499.99 when it came out, now you can grab it Kinect-less for 399.99. PS4 went up $50, but that's not gonna last. I do the same poop every (frank)ing time a new system comes out and I don't know why I do.

guys I might be leaving hockeybuzz for a while, maybe for good.

my life is spiraling out of control and I need to fix it and get healthy again for my family. I've made some mistakes and it's time to own up and be a man.

It's difficult to walk away as I feel some of you have become true friends to me.
