I think it's the opposite. You need to have your third line as a scoring threat when your top two aren't powerhouses. Rolling three lines that can score was how they've been successful the last two years. |

people seem to forget that a lot of these depth guys will see a lot of ice time this year, expect a few guys to go down during training camp and during the 1st regular season game. |

Bingo! Depth is good.
Plus if there's an injury on your top 6, the 3rd line can more easily move up and produce than if you have guys like Bournival, or Moen, or Prust on the 3rd... |

Another poop team for him to play on. That sucks though, he seemed comfortable with the blades and his billet there, hopefully he can adjust to the change |

I'll be honest I actually don't know how good they are, I only know of the real elite teams from the leagues. I just figured the only reason they used to compete a few years ago was mainly Murray and he's gone, so they're probably bottom end of the pack. I could be totally wrong.
Edit: they didn't finish too bad last year, certainly a lot better than the blades. |

I don't think so, but he did quite well with Plek. Will be interesting to see them againts other teams this week.
Same for McCarron. These intra-squad scrimmages are not really appropriate to evaluate his game. |
