If the three left side guys reach their potential, that's a good D core. We would be signing stop gaps until we got to that point.

I think Petry is getting respect but its behind the scenes. He's not a blue chip guy so is an after thought at times. But when you have Mact, Smith and others all openly saying he was the best dman in the past couple years and Ramsay has already said he's the kind of guy he likes. I think they'll lock him up for a few years by TDD.

I think we have to keep our expectations in check. The signings were stop gaps/depth signins. Maybe Fayne/Nikitin have the opportunity to be more.

If Pouliot is a 20-20 guy, I'm happy

If Nikitin and Fayne can play 20 min a night against tough comp, and keep their heads above water, i think that surpasses my expectations.

While Fayne played some tough minutes last year, he wasn't a minute eater per-say. Nikitin is a couple years removed from his really good season.

Yost was getting time on air with lowetide and given what has happen with all these teams hiring numbers guys it made sense that he got a better gig. But to go to TSN is quite an honor I'd think.
