Well if history teaches us anything, after JVR has a game like that he'll be invisible for two weeks. - hereticpride
He's gonna be a Flyer killer for the rest of his life -- just one of those guys |

He's an insurance move for the Phantoms. Lotta goons in the AHL. Don't need the actual talent to feel like they need to fight 'em. - hereticpride
Sign him to an AHL deal then, like Powe |

Technically they already happened. The Flyers sent all their try out guys back to juniors. I;d expect we see some tomorrow. |

Yeah, fair enough there.
As long as he's a first cut and stays down in the AHL I cant get took worked up over him. |

I hope Bill doesnt even bother going in depth over this one. This matchup showed the ugly side to split squads. What are you supposed to take away from a game where the opposition dresses just about all their big names and you run a lot of youth out there? |

I'm six games away from my legend 1! Tonight's game was a huge waste of time in keeping me away from this feat. |

Yep, pretty much. The Flyers pretty much dressed the bare mimimum of required vets and the Leafs had a lot of big guns dressed. Definitely a get out of dodge without injuries type game |

What are we looking at, realistically?
Giroux, Voracek, Simmonds, Lecavalier, Umberger, Schenn, Read, Couturier and Raffl are the locks? That's nine.
Rinaldo just got extended on a one-way, so you'd think he'd have to play his way off the team. That's 10.
Are we looking at two spots for the opening night roster, plus a 13th forward? Am I missing somebody who's a lock? |

rosemont took a good shot to the beak against the dasher early. sadly it didn't remove him from the game. |

Not that I see. I think Rosehill will be the 13th guy, Rinaldo is probably a lock. I'm guessing Bellemare will be around, probably Akeson, too. |

I think Bellemare will be in the NHL.
Akeson is a tough one. He's looked really nice but he really needs to be in the top 6 and I don't know if the opening/fit is there for him.
I don't think Laughton is going to make it either. |

OK, I'll trade you stud defenseman Luke Schenn and his tough as nails brother Brayden for the untalented James van Riemsdyk and the horrible fat guy Phil Kessel |

He's played well enough and his waiver status will probably get him a slot to start the year. |
