College Football survives without pre-season. I don't think it shouldn't exist but the importance of It is over rated IMO

But they do a whole month of training camp/inter squad games which are full on games.

Preseason is mandatory injuries are going to happen whether you are hitting your own teammate or playing a meaningless game against another team. It sucks but it happens.

Sam Bennett is hurt and he hasn't played a game yet for example.

He played in a tournament earlier this pre-season. I think he had 2 or 3 points in 2 games if I read right.

I know both Toronto and Washington games are (the Washington game was just added in the past coulple of days) but it still shows on the site and app no TV for the last one against Carolina...

I'm pretty sure those were planned to be on TV already.

And I think all but one of them are the opposing team's broadcast just piggy-backed.

EDIT: Turns out all of them are piggy-backed. I'm not sure if it has something to do with MSG or what, but the Sabres don't seem either willing or able to broadcast preseason games themselves.

Pre-season SUCKS! Get rid of the crap, have training camps to sort players out, I actually reckon it would make the start of the season and the season as a whole a LOT more enjoyable and un-predictable!

What he said is true though. I don't remember hearing anyone say being in the minors too long ruined my career.

But case in point Luke Adam was up here too soon and never adjusted well. It could mean he is a career AHL player or just someone whose career was derailed by being up here too soon (or a coach mishandling him)
