Stating the obvious = trolling?

Calling someone a poor baby is stating facts? Using sarcasm to insult someone is stating facts? Yeah, not trolling at all. There's a reason most of hockeybuzz considers you a minor troll. |

I stated facts, he replied with sarcastic little shots. That was the reply to that.
Again, respond to the facts I’ve stated, or stop whining about trolling.
I know you won’t though. Because I’m right. And you can’t seem to deal with that.

No one was denying he's in the twilight of his career. Someone made a joke that he freezes himself because he still competes as a top ten center at his advanced age. Of course he's going to slow down and be injured more often. We have seen that over the last couple seasons.
My beef is you calling someone a baby. I responded to your facts, agreeing with them and now I'm telling you to quit trolling. Hence, go troll the Leafs thread. |

Babcock tells Lashoff and Kindl that their jobs are safe and none of the prospects can steal their jobs. Good on the coach to make sure there is no competition before the season starts and that the prospects no matter how good they look have no chance unless people get injured...but then again we already knew all that despite Babcock making BS statements that the best players would play even if it wasn't vets.
I'm really starting to hope Babcock doesn't re-sign and leaves after the season and goes to Toronto where he will have to explain every single move and combos he makes before n after game. |

Anyone watching the game? Saw some goonery by the Bruins at 8:00 in the first on the stats sheet, was wondering if its a normal thing so far this game. |

I'm on the same page as you are. His stupid "tie goes to the veteran" mentality is so ingrained in his skull it's hurt the team repeatedly the last few years (i.e. Cleary, Bert, Samuelsson, etc...). Holland shares the same mentality which is why some of our prospects rot in GR for too long. The NHL is changing... some of these young guys are earning spots MUCH younger than in the past.
If he really told Lashoff & Kindle they're jobs are safe then then he's hurting the team (they're both marginal players at best). So yeah.... it appears his statement that the best players will play this season regardless of experience/age is complete B.S. This team has way too many good prospects that need a serious look. We'll see...
The front office should demand the coaching staff should always ice the best players available. I'm sick of Holland's loyalty to the old goats who are no longer effective. And some of Babcock's decisions are completely baffling (like his man-crush on Glendening). You'd think the top execs in the Front office would like to do more than just make the playoffs and keep the streak alive. |

Its time for Martin/Draper and Blashill to take over. |

He did say that both Lashoff and Kindl's jobs were safe and that none of the prospects can take it from them. That if the prospects were going to take some ones job it would be a top 4 guy not a bottom pairing guy but in Babcock's mind none of them have a chance in hell of doing that imo.

By some of his comments it sounds like he wants Holland to trade for a top 4 defenseman but we all know Holland won't do that and if he somehow did (getting bent over in the process), if the guy is not exactly what Babcock wanted he will pout and stick the player on the 3rd pair or press box like he has done to so many of Holland's players he acquired.
I hope that if Babcock leaves, he takes Cleary, Lashoff and Glendening with him. Hopefully Blashill knows the prospects a lot better and isn't afraid to use them instead of washed up vets or no talent fringe NHL players. I'm hoping that if Blashill takes over he will do like Cooper did in Tampa and rely on the young guys since he coached them in the AHL.

Two-three seasons ago, I was calling for Smith's head when he was on the ice. I'm really, really happy with how well he's grown into a solid top four defenseman. Can't wait to see how he looks in 3-4 more seasons. |
