It's really sad how corporate the beer is in Canadian stadiums. The U.S. definitely has its Bud, Coors, and Miller at major events, but I've found most stadiums will offer all kinds of alternatives as well. The fact that junior hockey is outpacing the NHL in this regard is borderline obscene.

I had to laugh at a certain Canuck fan on a TSN article yesterday who suggested that the Canucks should've gotten Nylander because Virtanen will be a bust. What do some people base their projections on exactly? Nylander is virtually no more proven than Virtanen at the NHL level. Yet, to this person, Willie is the next coming of Gretzky, while Virtanen will go the way of Alexandre Daigle. I understand that advanced stats are all the rave these days, but now everybody thinks they're a goddamn NHL scout!

Could Nylander wind up being a guy who puts up more points than Virtanen later on in their respective careers? It's certainly a possibility. But damn... people have to give these kids time to find their full, professional games first! Hell, at least let the one poor kid fully recover from off season shoulder surgery and actually get a real NHL camp/pre season in before even attempting to label him a "never was"...
