With 5 TSN channels, and Sportsnet and SN360, you would think there would be something available for more regional coverage. Right now 4 of the TSN channels tend to be the same thing.

Buff would be great if that could get him. Bonino Kass and Shink would be a great second line for years as they develop. I'm just tired of not seeing any youth let them freaking play and learn we've got probably 4 years of twins left and they will be third liners by the third I'm to play the kids.

No. My grandma got it in her head that softener causes cancer. Of course I know that's ridiculous, and yet I can't bring myself to use it.

Shink Jensen and Horvat should be given a chance to play.

Cost, enthusiasm ,scoring chances are just a few reasons how they can help the team.

If Nitushkin can make it then these guys should be ready too.

Can we not move Mathias Higgins and or Hansen supremely easily in favor of the young young guys. I'm sure they can match the production of those guys why not something like this

Sure we can move those guys and let the kids play and continue the rebuild, but ownership wants playoff revenue. We will have to wait until these kids can beat the players they'll be replacing. Matthius, Richardson and Sestito are all up for FA next year.

All though that might look sexy on paper you are asking a lot. There is a lot question marks in that line up: 3 rookies, and 2nd line duty for both Bonino and Kassian. This is my guess for opening night:

Sedin / Sedin / Vbata
Burrows / Bonino / Kassian
Higgins / Richardson / Hansen
Mathias / Horvat / Dorsett
Vey

1 rookie makes it (Horvat) because he can win faceoffs and plays a solid defensive game. He could work his way up to the 3rd line and bump Richardson to the 4th.

The 4th line actually looks like a hockey line and not a bunch of castaways thrown together to fill out a roster

Higgins and Hansen are proven NHL players that can take some pressure off the top 2 lines. What happens if Bonino and Kassian struggle. If that happens you are putting a lot of responsibility on Horvat. Shinkaruk and Vey.

I'm sure they were shocked that SN manned up when the NHL rights went out to bid. If TSN had hockey it would be no problem filling all those channels. Right now they have the rights to maple leafs and jets regional only.

How true, fug I've grown to hate CBC, TSN and now Sportsnet....it's everything Ontario all the time. The Mariners game is on for 45 minutes and they've still got the God Damn post Blue Jays coverage on...WTF man.

Yeah but we lacked scoring last year , if you have guys like Vey and Shink who can put up numbers then you don't mind brain farts on the defensive end. Oilers had a bunch of kids in the 80 s that out scored their mistakes. It would be more fun to watch than all these 3-2 games we sleep through

I think if you held a poll most Canuck fans would rather watch Vey and Shink instead of Higgins and Richardson

If only one makes it, it has to be Jensen. Anything else is a demotion for him and not exactly best for his development.

My guess is that Shink will play in Utica. Horvat will get his 9 games with the big club and get a chance if someone is traded or on LTIR.

I haven't been impressed with Jensen but he has been pretty well rounded nothing that flashed brilliance though. I really like Jensen he deserves every chance to make the team. So far though Shinkaruk has generated chances using speed and energy made some mistakes. So its Jensen is lose right now.
