Hard not to get excited about his dynamic puck skills, which are already NHL caliber in my opinion. Give him a year in the AHL, and I think he has an excellent shot at making the team in 15/16.

It's really amazing how quickly his stock has risen. Almost unbelievable that he was taken in the 3rd round.

It's just pre season so need to take that into consideration. But I was thinking the same thing. How did this kid make it to the 3rd round? I mean he is small, but he's not that small.

No such thing as waivers at the end of the season. And Schultz is on a one year deal. He is a UFA after the season.

Coots + Read, Laughton + Leier

Games like this give you a temporary high. Every single player looks good. Probably some mirages out there, as the Devils seem non-competitive. But the Flyers definitely have some young talent out there. That kid Leier has some real heart and competitiveness. Also seems like he has good hockey sense and knows how to play without the puck.
