It's hard not to be excited, but they're showing some good things. |

I didn't see the game vs Wash as I was watched London game, can anyone tell me how RJ looked? I really like the 12-40-42 line tonight. I wonder what a RJ-Laughton-PEB line would look like as a regular shutdown line. |

Umberger got stronger as the game went on. He looked pretty solid when I watched the replay of the Caps game. He can still skate and has smarts. |

The Couturier line is going to be the shutdown line. I don't see Umberger playing on the 4th line.

Don't forget cousins. His stock def increased this preseason after having a poor 2/3 of the season last year. A 4th line of cousins-Alderson and let's say Raffl would be a very good 4th line next year |

Games like this give you a temporary high. Every single player looks good. Probably some mirages out there, as the Devils seem non-competitive. But the Flyers definitely have some young talent out there. That kid Leier has some real heart and competitiveness. Also seems like he has good hockey sense and knows how to play without the puck. - MJL
Yea these devils didn't come to play as the average age is 65. Still I would have thought they'd dress more young kids.
It's fun right now to see young guys who are legit future flyers in flyer uniform. Not some scrubs who are lucky to have an ahl career |

Either do I to start the year but as we seen playing with VLC can be a difficult fit. RJ best fit would be on read and couts line but they hoping simmer brings out the bets of couts |

I think Umberger is a good fit playing with Lecavalier. |

No such thing as waivers at the end of the season. And Schultz is on a one year deal. He is a UFA after the season. - MJL
You can't waive a player around the deadline? |

They both look like they'll help out the Phantoms a lot. Especially if that Leier-Laughton-Jones line is a line for the Phantoms. |

He's really good with the puck but it's his play without that worries me. Maybe I'm out of my mind but he doesn't seem to read and react well without the puck in my opinion. |

He's good in the offensive zone without the puck. It's his defensive reads that concern me. |

So does G at times. That play in front of the net in the 2nd was a typical g play minus the puck going in the net some how. Not saying Akeson is the next g at all just reminded me if him in that play |
