Can't believe Gagne is on a tryout for the Bruins , if he can still play he should be in Black and Orange. |

He scored last night for Bruins, FWIW #preseasontho
EDIT: It was an empty netter though, so...nevermind |

Why trade an asset for a 7th rounder if it could be worth a 3rd rounder in a year or two? Or if he can return and play a solid role for the team - Jsaquella
Guys like Giordano and Rafalski headed overseas when nobody thought they were worth a damn... they came back and killed it. If Gus keeps playing well over there, and some roster spots end up opening up here next summer, it's plausible that he could come back and be terrific. |

Especially since he will finally be able to play consistently every night. Would be great if that worked out in his favor. |

Just would hate to see him on the other side of the ice the first game of the season |

Agreed.
You can't get better without experience and Gus is getting plenty of ice over there.
I would be surprised if he wasn't back in the NHL in a year or two. |

Hey, letting him walk afforded us a shot at Dan Cleary... it was totally worth it. |

What's frustrating is that Gus can bring it in the NHL. He's skilled enough. He was just so inconsistent, Flyers couldn't rely on him. The increased playing time will be good for him for sure. |

Stortini is also 29. He's not a very good fighter. Willing, yes, but not especially good. Against established heavyweights he's actually pretty bad. - jmatchett383
I have not seen him against established heavy weights but I think he is good for the Phantoms, especially if he is a good character guy for the dressing room.
I think Rosehill is a legit top heavyweight in the NHL and can do his job on this team very well |

He may be able to handle the AHL, but when he was Edmonton's "enforcer" he was brutal. In a bad way. Although he did seem to always have Parros' number. |

That's the thing.. he never got playing time here, so he was never really able to improve. When he was in, most of the time, he either wasn't noticeable(in a good way), or he made some solid plays. I never understand the discontent people show for him. Was he the next Timonen for the Flyers? Probably not... but I think he could have been a solid 3rd pairing guy with speed and a developed offensive presence.
I hated to see him go, but good for him. He's getting the opportunity to get playing time, and hopefully further his development instead of sitting in a press box... |

Dwight King can take on anybody in the league and Brandon Bollig is an enforcer.
Rosehill and Rinaldo on the same line isnt the smartest move.
Teams get up for and go after the Flyers more than any other team in the league. May as well be ready. - acd513
Exactly my point. King and Bollig can actually play.
I also don't think Jay Rosehill is gonna stop anyone from taking a run at Giroux |

Nope. But if there's 4 other guys out there who are gonna pile onto the guy without a moment's hesitation, that's much more of a deterrent. |

Other team busing running around? Kill 'em on the score board. That's the best deterrent of all.
Goons/rats who are busy fishing pucks out of their own net and putting their teams shorthanded against lethal PP units will have their ice/relevance taken away by their own coaches. No need to even stoop to their level. |

Cool. So in Game 1 of a series against the Penguins, we send Rosehill out to injure Crosby for the series, and the Penguins will score 5 goals and be happy about it? Good to know. |

Absolutely
The only way to stop someone from running your star players is to make it clear that you will respond by doing the same thing to their star players. |

Well, all kidding aside, they will probably respond by having someone run Giroux from behind or by running Mason...wait, they already did that. Hey, that means we owe Crosby one!! |

But will the game be streamed tonight? Is it available to watch for people not in the Philly area? |

Which really doesn't happen much, and there are rules put into place, to try and prevent that. That's the old school way that has been legislated out of the game. It's a shame they don't let players police the game anymore. |

Crosby's out either way... I'll take the 5 goals versus the satisfaction of teaching Rosehill a lesson. |
