Burrows is a perfect type of player for a contender.

Yup. He's seemed pretty reliable back there, for the most part. That hit he threw was a beauty in the first
- The_Shink

Sometimes people just need to watch these guys play hockey again to gain back perspective. He's one of the best value players on this team(dollar for dollar).

I haven't hated Burrow's game as much as everyone else seems to. I've hated Jensen's, despite the goal, and Hansen... I don't know. I've always liked him in a bottom six role, but right now he looks like a twitchy Raymond. Horvat and Bonino have looked real good, Stanton looks miles ahead of Sbisa and Lack stood on his head.

Dude probably thinks he's hit the jackpot with 2.5 mill. Money changes people.

Edit. This league would be so much better if contracts weren't guaranteed.

Horvat and shinkaruk over Hansen and burr all day long

Pretty fair assessment so far, only two-thirds of one pre-season game though.

Torts changed him. He always had a role: third line forechecker, penalty killer, and he was good at it. Unfortunately, that's exactly the type of player that Torts loves. So what did he do? Promoted him to the first line.

True that. Although, if Benning is true to his word, it's two-thirds of one preseason game that could go a long way towards determining their regular season roster.

No Lack in the 3rd. This might get shaky now if the boys continue to let Calgary pepper them with shots.

Burrows looks 3 steps behind, that started last year, give him a pass because of injuries, but he needs to show last year was an anomaly. As with several here I would prefer youth in the lineup. Burrows, Hansen and Sesito could be moved. And Stanton impressed last year and is starting off to prove so again

Maybe, but those are two pretty great penalty killers that you're replacing with one guy who might develop into an elite penalty killer and one that might not kill a single penalty in his career. Combined with the loss of Kesler that would hurt us on special teams.

Gotta trust your teammates, to be fair he did pass more with the Sedins. I don't think he thought highly of Higgins/Hansen/Booth/Raymond.

Maybe their girlfriends weren't attractive enough to get a pass either.
