Why? He hasn't exactly dominated junior with God-like numbers.

There just comes a point where putting him with weak competition doesn't help him as much as playing against men

Shame on you for only looking at numbers, which were decent BTW.

Disagree. He should go dominate Junior if he gets cut. An opportunity to be the alpha (mentally & physically) against the best of the best in your age group is much more beneficial to development than cutting your teeth against tier II men in whatever role he's given over there.
- DrChristianTroy

He hasn't dominated Junior yet. Do you think he has it in him?

Possible Nux lines tonight in Calgary: Burrows-Bonino-Kassian; Higgins, Horvat-Hansen; Shinkaruk-Richardson-Matthias; Sestito-Bancks-Jensen.

- LeftCoaster

Extremely interested in seeing what this line can do tonight.

Who do you guys have left on defence for this one? Only guys that come to mind are Corrado, Sbisa and Andersson.
- TheBold

Corrado could be a bit of a target for any flames trying to impress management after his questionable hit on Johnny hockey in penticton

"What sticks out immediately - aside from the fact that a handful of notable names aren't making the trip - is that Bo Horvat is getting a legitimate audition in a spot that could potentially be his, provided he plays well. At the very least he's being positioned to succeed having been put between the likes of Higgins and Hansen, as a realistic 3rd line.

The same can't really be said for Nicklas Jensen, who will surely have a difficult time looking good given his linemates. "

I disagree with you, he's got nothing left to prove in junior. He's not a scoring machine, yet he produces good offensive numbers. He needs to take that next step against men, dominating against kids two and three years younger than him will prove nothing and probably bore him.

Prove nothing? It's how you develop the mindset & confidence level of a top tier professional athlete. Dominating your age group mentally & physically. He hasn't "proven" he can do that yet. Sending a 19yr old to get coached by some random Euro on big ice (completely different game) in a subservient role with lesser adult talent makes no sense for his development.

I'm home today, finishing off my new deck and raking leaves. Pop by for a pint, there's some bombers of Phillips Ginger and Driftwood Sartori IPA in the fridge

Guy has a man's body, he's ready to play against men. I'd like to see him stick with the canucks, but if not i think Europe is a better option for him then the CHL. Only problem with sending him to Europe is that i don't think he can come back to play in the NHL without being exposed to waivers.... ala Ryan O'Reilly.

He was being sarcastic. He been lobbying hard for Bo to stick with the team in a 3rd line centre position.

I see no problem Miller backing up Schneider. It's cheeper than the last backup this team had.
