Yeah. Probability states they will, but thats no guarantee. Unless they trade Stafford and Stewart and Hodgson in the week or so they have a solid 2a/2b lines. Thats not to say they will be 'good', but Calgary, Carolina, Ottawa, and Nashville aren't going to be good and who knows where Florida and Edmonton are going to be. They could bounce back or sink again. Point is there is no guarantee where the Sabres or Islanders will finish or who will win the lottery.
Edit: Anyone else going to the game tonight? - Themomentgood
Even the 3rd and 6th/7th pick (lets be honest they aren't gonna be higher) is still really good considering the top end depth, then you still have a pick that's like 20-25, two more 2nds that are relatively high, all added on to what is already the current best prospect pool.
Out of the teams mentioned, Ottawa is the only real threat I see, maybe Carolina because of Staal. |

They are gonna party because 3 1st (two high) + 2 2nds (also high) + supposed deepest draft in decade damn - Herzeleid
That would be 2013, this years draft is top heavy and getting major attention because of the two guys at the top |

don't have a problem with that, although I think Flynn's more that just a nice guy, very heady player who plays an quiet, unheralded game - Michael Pachla

It's a bit gutsy, but imo TM should look to trade any 1st round pick outside the top 7 or 8 for an nhl player.
Good chance the player we get back will be better (even if its only short term) than anyone we could get at say 15 and 25 overall. |

"Sam Bennett led the game with 7 shots and created offensive opportunities all night, battling through traffic, and showing off his hands. While fans may have left the dome disappointed with the final score, the buzz around Bennett was nothing but positive."
I have a feeling that there will end up a debate as to whether we picked the right Sam or not. Bennett is a gamer |

really? i agree with you on most things but are you really going to start this debate now before either of their nhl careers have even started? This is exactly your argument for ej...give him to time to progress before you make any judgement. Maybe one takes more time to develop than the other? you know like the whole qb argument the last few pages.
edit: each player differs in terms of progression time and what they need to have success. Reinharts peak may be higher and longer than bennetts or vice versa, who really knows |

I never said Reinhart won't be good/great. My point is that I think Bennett is going to be really, really good too |

Good read. I wouldn't mind seeing Larsson & Girgensons on the 3rd line together. 2 capable faceoff men on your 3 line could lead to some nice possession numbers. |

I think we got plenty of parts to make up a pretty challenging bottom 2 lines to play against. It's just putting together the top half that's the problem. Having too many centers is never a bad thing. I have a feeling Grigorenko will end up a winger though.

I'm fine with him being in Rochester. He was really solid down there last year. You need guys like him in the AHL. |
