Hockey pool not real NHL - VANTEL
Counter: Bobby Ryan for 22&29
Edit: if you want Eberle specifically I'd do 14+22 |

It still was a good deal just to get the cap space and Mathias. Lu was over rated |

but for realz,
i always thought just getting rid of the contract was the value.
add in a solid middle 6'er in Matthias and it aint bad.
miller and lack have softened the blow abit, but without much using context; horvat and Matthias for lu and Schneider looks abit iffy though... |

Really?
Ok , I need secondary scoring , this will let me go after a top scorer.
Ok deal? I will let Nucker know |

Time will tell . Outside looking in it seems bad, but for years we were here saying trade Lu. Our expectations were obviously higher and if Gillis was not such an ass we would have got more for both. |

Nucker Bezz and I just swapped Bobby Ryan for the 22 and 29 th overall. |

So....hows the love for Shinkaruk around here lately?
Kid just had most of a season off... oozing confidence... scoring goals and noticeable from the beginning of the young stars tourney. He doesnt have to go back to junior.... can ease him in and out of the lineup and our coach will develop him without too much pressure. I cant remember the last time we were in a situation like this with a 19/20 year old prospect who was having a dynamite camp...
(frank) ya! |

He had an impressive camp last year and has come back bigger stronger faster, what's not to love. He creates scoring chances and it is time to see if he can do it against NHL players instead of plugging in older plugs . |

First off, Gillis sucked.
That said, just to say Schneider and Lu for Horvat and Mathias looks bad. But last year, there were those that would have bought out Lu or traded him for a few pucks just to get rid of contract. |

Would love to see him start with the club and if he struggles get him down to Utica for a bit. Really good situation for both club and player. |

At the risk of exposing my cards, and looking like I don't know something....I have a question, which pertains to something I don't know:
I was watching Kings/Ducks and the Kings broadcaster stated (talking about two of their younger prospect pool) "The danger in this is getting them to clear waivers to be sent to Manchester"
Of course, yes. Waivers, to go in and out of European leagues, up and down from farm teams to the big club. You hear that term at least a thousand times a year.
Then I realized, what-exactly- does a 'waiver' entail? I always assumed it was a health related fitness evaluation, to re-check if a player is suitable to play. Now I'm thinking it is a legal snafu of some sort about binding contract negotiations or something.

Yeah. WD says it's not how they do when they are fresh ,it is what can you do when you are worn down. Give him a chance nd see. |

I think there might be some interest in him as a backup for a team with a rock solid #1, but any time with questionable goaltending is going to want someone backing up that's capable of playing at the NHL level, he hasn't done that yet and would be a big gamble if their #1 got hurt.
I don't even think the canucks would keep him as their backup if they didn't have Lack. He's a decent prospect but needs to put it together soon, he's running out of opportunities. - Isles_since_6
1.4 mil is a hefty price for an iffy backup |

would you take a shot on horvat, who might play a cleaner game by screwing up less, but less flashy and not as many points.
or go with shink, more flash and potential points. But could be out of position more often?
with an older responsible D corps, Shink might have a strong chance. Wake people up after listening to short house drawl on and the sedins passing to each other for a few cycles |

And you need to have a spot on your roster for him also, he can't be sent down . |

I would have both on the main roster. I am tired of seeing a no punch offence for the last two years. |

I don't think it's an either/or scenario really - especially since Bo's a centre. If both keep up their solid play, there is a solid chance that both make the team and as a result create some tough decisions for the club. Someone will have to be moved.
Vey might be destined for Utica at this point unless he plays exceptionally well.

iffy is not the word we want to use in the classified ad. Maybe unknown, potential #1 or wildcard... former highly touted prospect turned reclamation project, now just a project looking for an opportunity because he hasn't really had one in a little while... might never get anything for him. |
