decent models of that era are still going for 12-15 K. In ten years it will be even more.

my uncle has an old buick riviera from the 80's (82, i think). when air lift leveling was all the rage.

kept it in pretty decent condition and all but i think he should sell it because it's still only worth like $12k according to him. an old caddy may eventually go up in value but i feel like an old buick is only gonna go down.

i never drove it though. i want to drive it first. then he can sell it.

ordinarily, yes. but the rivs should increase in value or at the very least hold their value. the late 70's would be the one to keep, tho.

i mean, i guess there could be an unexplained surge in fondness for that design but i can't see it ever having the appeal of earlier models.

he rarely takes it out but he's exactly who you'd expect to see driving an 82 riv. white hair, doing half the speed limit, with 2 scotches in him.

we had a beauty of a 76 lesabre custom coupe, white with the red top for the bicentennial stuff or whatever.

some lady hit us and totalled it in the 80s. but it was nice from what i remember.

i remember that model. my favorite car of my Dad's was his 69 Impala. Not a fan of green cars but this was a dark green and was badass. at least until some idiot plowed into my old man at a red light. was never the same after that and was traded in for a ford LTD. a luxury car that was hiding a bad ass 400 engine.

my dad had one of those in the early 90s. i was embarrassed by it because it was old and i was young and stupid. it had constant transmission issues (replaced it a couple times) and he ended up selling it.

never got the impression that it was beastly but i guess it was
