same. it's never on netflix or hbo :\

ive heard people say the director's cut (different ending) is A MUST. but not sure if they're just overreacting.

It's been on hbo go forevs (and still is). I have it on my list of things to watch but have not yet because I tend to think it will not hold up.

The visual style of Blade Runner is timeless. It's one of the most visually stunning sci-fi movies ever made. I assume that's what you guys are worried about.

The 1982 American and European theatrical versions released by the studio included a "happy ending" (using stock footage from Stanley Kubrick's The Shining) and a voice-over added at the request of studio executives during post-production after test audience members indicated difficulty understanding the film. Although several different versions of the script had included a narration of some sort, both Ridley Scott and Harrison Ford disliked the studio voice-over and resisted having it added to the film. It has been suggested that Ford intentionally performed the voice-over poorly in the hope it wouldn't be used.

there is no reason to watch that version. borrow it from a friend or something.

all more overrated than blade runner since they tend to make it on every "best of all-time" list. blade runner rarely makes those kinds of lists.
