I know, I know. If we weren't in a season where we expect, and even hope for, last place, I'd try harder. |

Well we have beat the tar out of the current state of the Sabres for 6 months now...not a hell of a lot to talk about until the season starts.

Great QB's tend to make offensive lines look better than they are, especially in today's NFL which is an incredibly pass-happy league. - buffalofan19
Tom Brady disagrees. It's the blue print to beating him.
There are maybe a handful that have been successful with truly bad offensive lines in recent history. Rodgers, Roethlisberger, and Rivers come to mind |

DD - can't disagree with you there, spot on.
At times I find myself thinking about how I wish Buffalo would be guaranteed a new NFL Team if the Bills as we know them were to leave. If that was the case, I think I might take a week off from work to help them move.
I do love the Bills, just can't take much more of this dysfunction from a band of guys who suck at their jobs.
Their front office reminds me of the Sabres Teams on the ice for the past 3 or 4 years ... everyone is playing a level higher than they should be ... Hackett should be in College, Moron should be a Position Coach, Whaley should be an Asst GM...and Brandon should be the CMO. |

Interesting...
Not sure if the NFL is obligated to follow suit.
http://www.buffalonews.co...ts-blackout-rule-20140930 - buffalofan19
NFL is not obligated to follow suit.
This takes the blackout away as a regulatory requirement, and leaves it open to negotiation between the League and whoever is broadcasting its games. So, in the end, the networks and the League can still agree that the blackout will remain in effect, and what the extent of the blackout will be.
However, now it's all a question of negotiating strength. |

That's what I figured. However, I can't see the networks being willing to keep the rule in place without compensation. A non sold out game in a local market is still going to do better ratings-wise in each local market than a game from another market. |

Considering 2 teams that desperately needed bottom pairing defensemen in Philly and Boston had no interest I'm not too surprised. He is pretty good offensively though |

The rule is 50 years old. 50 years ago in history of the NFL, people went to games for very different reasons than they do now - the broadcast actually competed with the gate as a means to view the games.
Now, there is no way anybody goes to the games as a preferred way of "viewing" the game. TV coverage kills live and in person. People attend the game now to experience the atmosphere - and TV can't (and doesn't) compete with that.
The ticket is purchased for a very different reason than it was 50 years ago, and the gate and the broadcast don't compete with one another any longer. |

Boston and Philly didn't have the cap room either. |
