Just that play really stands out.. Ej on that play did not go though any of his reads he was set to make the screen pass. Any good qb would have seen watt sitting on the screen pass all day. - Therat36
Missing Watkins who was wide open on an over throw. |

Also on Watkins it really looks like he has no trust in his qb not to get him killed on almost any pass play.. |

Keith Rivers refusing to touch Foster on 3rd down and letting him roll 3 yards didn't help either. Neither did Graham misplaying the deep ball.
Lots of "rookie mistakes" - sbroads24

i could see him just going dallas cowboy on our ass .. i just hope none of our guys open their mouth about him in the coming days - gerbe75pts
If there's any part of this team to have some faith in, it should be the Defense.
As it stands, the team is 11th overall in QB Rating against, with a harassing pass rush and high ranking in INTs.
Buffalo's offense is the fear...seems to be the way to go in Buffalo right now. |

He’s quick enough and skilled enough to make an impact. In the two pre-season games – both losses to Vancouver – Bennett dazzled with his speed, moves, and creativity and assisted on Calgary’s lone goal. He generated nine shots and was pretty much the team’s lone reliable scoring threat in the two games.
Five of the top six picks in the 2013 draft stepped right into the NHL and made solid contributions. Only Jonathan Drouin (third overall) went back to junior. Recent fourth overall picks to step into the NHL right away are Seth Jones (2013), Adam Larsson (2011) and Evander Kane (2009).

But #2 is not ready and will be going back. When did the last #2 get sent back to Juniors? What a cruddy year to tank, such a weak draft. Sabres luck. - GilPerreault11
Ok so he's terrible because he might get sent back this year. Got it.

We also knew that Bennett had more speed than Reinhart, so this shouldn't be surprising. |

Whether Bennett sticks or not, that proves nothing in regards to who's the better hockey player. All it proves is that he's more physically ready to compete in the NHL right now. I have confidence that they will both be great players. They're 5-6 years from their primes. That's when you start judging. Not now... emoticon -> eye roll |

Guys with speed always look better than advertised in preseason anyway.
There is less space in the regular season, they get exposed and become non-factors |

Where the guy gets drafted is irrelevant. My concern is whether or not he can improve on the things he's supposed to be improving on in Juniors. Right now, it doesn't sound like it. |

NO ! Reinhart is a bust and Bennett is the next great one. The scouting abilities of some here is better than all NHL scouts and GM's . When are you going to understand that ? Lots of number 2 picks also go back to junior but they do not understand that either.

To be fair, not too many have recently...but it doesn't mean poop in the grand scheme.
At least Reinhart hasn't already suffered a groin injury, cuz we all know those are easy to shake off in hockey. |
