What? How does losing Cammy help them this year? Bennett isn't scoring those many goals. I'd be totally shocked if they don't finish bottom 5 in the league.

The Yotes will be better than them. Oilers added a few quality players and had horrible goaltending last year that can only get better. Canucks are flat out better. Preds get back Rinne and were already better last year. The Jets with Pavelec as their starter I could see sucking though.

Other than that I really don't see how the Flames won't suck this year. Long-term is a different story.

no ones expecting huge things out of them. Cammy gone, doesn't really change anything considering how much of last season he missed. His 26 goals are easily replaced by Glenx playing a few more games, and adding seto/raymond if they produce at a mediocre pace.

Canucks aren't better, you guys are about the same with a possible upgrade in net (miller can go either way). key players are older. Kesler although a Richard was a better player then anything brought back in.

Edmonton, colorado, dallas all got better and their key players got another year of experience which will help.

Nash has rinne, but jokinen and roy do not make a team better. Jokinen just kills lines.

Jets, they're a wild card. If Kane and wheeler produce, they'll be ok.

Yotes, aren't that great. They'll annoy teams, and steal wins. but thats about it

I think CGY will be drafting 4-5, which considering where they are in a rebuild is pretty good. If they play like last year, they won't be rock bottom because of pure effort. Thats an awesome thing to see in a rebuild team, you should only hope your team has that vibe in 4 years when the rebuild starts.

Carolina is embarrassing and will sadly be picking top3 this year (irks me).

Okay game today, would make me feel better about this team if Bonino wasn't so invisible. I wonder if we see him on wing. I'm also trying to remember preseason means nothing but we really need a second line.

I like Stanton's game had a few gaffs but he plays with an edge and can move the puck well enough, Bieksa2.0? Corrado was okay early, laying the body.

I have to say I'm impressed how well Vrbata pursues the puck, he was more physical than I expected.

I thought Edler looked fine considering first game, some mistakes but he is head and shoulders our best offensive dman.

I'm starting to believe that Vey is a legit Nhler, he makes good decisions with the puck. Looks lost on the PP though, not sure what his role is.

burrows sadly will be on the team cause of what he has done in the past but should be moved for a kid spot

vey horvat and shink all should easily be here i dont care who gets moved out as long as there name isnt sedin

Edler looked awful, made some nice passes but overall looks like a liability, can only hope that changes.

Burrows looked really slow, had a nice one timer that Smith saved although an other goalie may not have.

The kid line showed lots of energy, it will be interesting to see who stays and who goes.

Miller was meh...Lack would have stopped that 1st goal (just saying), but I don't think any goalie can make up for the defense last night.
