Morin definitely isn't ready for the big show from watching him tonight. He looks very promising and it's exciting. But right now hes not doing more than if Lauridsen were in there.

You are quite right. Entering tonight, he had probably slipped to 3rd in the three-way battle with Jones and Bellemare for two NHL spots with the only thing saving him was that he is subject to waivers now and Bellemare isn't. Berube wasn't exactly gushing with praise for him when asked yesterday.

But he's been excellent tonight.

I do agree with Chief in that if you're a bottom 6 player who isn't a defensive stalwart, you'd better always be skating -- that's one thing that Rinaldo does that I can give him credit for doing

Looks to be a shooter, which is a good thing -- not that you want players to be too selfish, but knowing when to shoot is just as important. I like how he's taking the shot
