They should be a good team, which I've said all along. No one can account for injuries, and all we were talking about was if Giroux couldn't go. - AllInForFlyers
I'm aware of what you were talking about. And my statement stands.

PEB, Luke, And Morin were 3 best players for the flyers IMO.
I also saw flashes on a very very good first line tonight with schenn riding shotgun to g and Voracek. Jake still needs to shoot more, but def looks a lot faster. Schenn seems to have the speed and hands to keep up with them as well. Looking forward to seeing more chemistry with those guys for years to come |

I think it won't be pretty, but they're gonna make it -- maybe barely, but I think they still get in. Columbus has already Richarded around with Johansen enough where I'll be stunned if he starts well, and while they talk a lot of garbage now, let's see if they can score with him out and Jenner out.
A few teams will be better and that will make it tricky, and Timonen's loss will hurt, but I think whatever combination of fourth line they have will be a little better than last year's while the rest of the forwards should be as productive as last year, if not moreso.
Might not be pretty, but I think they do make it. - AllInForFlyers
CBJ is in hot water already.
RJ coming in cold, if he's coming in at all. Horton has no timetable to return. Jenner missing a few weeks.
Really thought they would be a lock for the playoffs these year but I'm definitely doubting that right now. |

I had an open mind about him last season. I don't like a few things about him. I don't think he's a great strategic guy, I disagree with his short leash for some/long leash for others handling of depth/second tier players, I don't think he did a good job in handling some players last season(most notably Lecavalier) and I really dislike that he seems to be willing to allow an opposing coach dictate who he'll dress-for instance his "if they dress and enforcer, I'll dress one too" comments from last week.
I think their turnaround last year had a lot more to do with Giroux getting going than anything Berube did. The stuff I don't like is correctable, or at least mostly correctable, but he's the coach. Again, I hope as long as he's the coach they win games and have a ton of success. - Jsaquella
Berube took a team who was ridiculously careless and recklessly aggressive in it's play, and turned that around and got them playing the right way, and overcame a team that was playing very poorly to start, into the playoffs. That's not easy to do during the season. He's a very strong technical coach.

Woah, woah, woah. Nice shootin' Tex.
No one said anything other than the team probably isn't making the playoffs if G went down for an extended period of time. Historically how the team has performed without G doesn't make that a very crazy thought.
He's healthy right now though so it really doesn't even matter. Go Flyers. |

Berube seems to be stubborn at times with making in game line shuffles. One thing I loved bout Lavy was when it came to the third period he would role 8 or 9 forwards randomly depending on who was hot. Players seemed to be energized by that and would come out flying

Berube says he's going to do best to have opening night lineup in for Thursdays game.
Guess it's an end to the mix and match line-ups for good. |

Berube is a Coach who demoted Lecavalier to the 4th line. He's not unwilling to change things if he feels it isn't working.

Probably. Wouldn't be surprised to hear soon that they returned Morin to his junior team. |

I'd assume we'll see something like this:
10-28-93
18-40-12
24-14-17
36-78-42
47-5
8-32
15-22
35
29
I list the lines like that because some of the beats have tweeted pictures or listed the lines as such off the board in the dressing room. Berube's listed 40 as the 2C whenever his line has been dressed. |

Berube is a solid Coach. Did a nice job last year. Has a full year and a full training camp. Excited about the season. Flyers have a good team. - MJL
Flyers are the same as last year....borderline playoff team...anywhere from 5-10

Biggest takeaway tonight was B Schenn's game tonight at LW. I think he will fit in nicely on that line and bring pretty much anything Hartnell could. The chemistry obviously still needs work but it's looking good.
