The problem is they lack both a #1 and #2 defenseman. Coburn is a fair #3 defender who could ride with an elite guy a la Carle with Pronger. When Coburn's on his game (playing fast, physical, and giving 100%) he's a legit top pairing player. But that only comes out about 25 times a year. - jmatchett383
Even a legit number one guy helps. Coburn can be a 2, better suited to a 3, Streit is a good offensive guy, the rest are no better than 4th guys or worse. But a legit, 25 minute a night number one moose would solve a lot of issues |

Yea I agree with that. Flyers defense is not that bad. They are all quality defenders. We just lack that great #1 defenseman. - GOA88
They are not bad players on their own, all together on 1 team they lack the parts to be considered above average. |

Quote from Berube on Akeson. Just thought it was very candid and not a huge ringing endorement.
"He's showed me things at times. At other times, he's looked slow," Berube said candidly after the Flyers' 6-3 loss to the Rangers. "He really has to move his feet. He has to be competitive. He's not a big guy, not the fastest guy. Sometimes, he looks OK and makes some plays when he has a little bit of time. But when he doesn't, he looks slow sometimes. He's got to be real competitive all the time."
Also think if Leirer continues to play well in the AHL it won't be long until he is up with the big club. His skating and play away from puck are noticebly and always seems to be around the net. - J35Bacher
Wonder who will replace Berube when he gets fired in May? |

He's so thin skinned. I bet his teammates can't even poke fun at him or he demands they be traded |

MSL is like Steve Smith of the Ravens.....one of those sociopaths that needs to take EVERY LITTLE SLIGHT to heart and try to use it to fuel them. |

Slew foot? All I saw was a 6'6" traffic cone get dropped by a much stronger player who happens to be a foot shorter than him. Then proceed to act like a baby. |

Then you missed the obvious slew foot
Zuc's left foot clearly kicks Morin's skate out from under him. By all means feel free to troll again. |

Yeah, they could use that video as the example of what a slew foot looks like.
Good job, good effort, though. |

Why can't the answer be
Streit coburn
Macdonald schenn
Grossman MDZ
If this were the SATs I'd skip the question. But this is my best answer - Just5
From my understanding Del Zotto doesn't play the right side. Coburn and Streit are a bad idea for top match ups because Streit isn't great defensively.
Grossmann-Coburn
MacDonald-Streit
Del Zotto-Schenn |
