As I said in garners thread; glad he signed. He could have gone back to junior and been a high draft choice next June. We gave him an opportunity and he didn't (frank) us over. Nice to see. Kid was smiles ear to ear all camp.

There is no way the Oilers couldn't sign him from a fan perspective. They thought enough of him to invite him to camp so the interest was there, whether they had a lot of interest or they were just using him for Penticton filler I don't know. Then the way he played in there and in scrimmages I don't know that you could ask more of the kid.

Then the way he played in pre-season pretty much sealed it. Even if they had little interest in the kid when they first invited him, he forced the Oilers to give him a contract. Now if only cock smacks like Lander or Arco would pull their heads out of their ass and do the same.

Like thats going to happen... The dude is done and Arco looks like he mailed it in thinking he gets a spot by default cause its the Oilers...

I liked Halls agressiveness- He played a great game- the rest of the team esp the defense found ways to have cluster (frank) ups in their own end- reminded me of vintage Oilers hockey the last 8 years- but I did like the point shots we got in when we were in the offensive zone... Pitlick looked better- but then again I would have looked better playing with Hall and RNH... but all kidding aside- there maybe hope for him... Lander is 4th line at best...

I am pretty surprised. Edmonton a team with no depth on the right side passed on a offensively talented guy with good possession.

That seems like a bill most teams could use. Especially a cap right team. Lots of teams could afford him and use him to a reasonable extent. I think you guys got let off the hook here.
