I am pretty surprised. Edmonton a team with no depth on the right side passed on a offensively talented guy with good possession.

That seems like a bill most teams could use. Especially a cap right team. Lots of teams could afford him and use him to a reasonable extent. I think you guys got let off the hook here.

They did it early enough that teams have not been able to assess yet.
And if claimed I believe he has to stay up with the big club. Could hamper decisions.

I think we got off the hook too, if it was near the end of camp when teams are trying to decide bw a 6th/7th spot, I think he gets claimed bc its easier to see that Elliott is better than Player A or Player B.

If teams are concentrating on 4 or 5 more Dmen cuts still, it makes that decision to claim him more murky.

Like the Bruins, Im sure they would take Elliott at 850k over Bartkowski at 1.25m for the cap relief.

100% correct. Terrible signing. I hated it the minute it was announced.

Saying that, I think Eddie Lack will be traded. Benning knows Miller (he drafted him) and felt more comfortable with an experienced, veteran goalie.
