The surprise seems to be Morin, who is still up, despite Berube saying he will ice the starting lineup on Thursday.
Maybe he'll be getting a few games in... - tangent_man
Maybe he's trying to light a fire under MDZ? |

Any other time, I'd just have dishes to wash or laundry to do to pay back the casino. Last night, though, it's clicking Hockeybuzz ads for penance. |

Perhaps they're trying to light a fire under AMac? I could really see Morin staying for a few games into the reg season. |

I hope they get Morin in the first couple of games and send him down. He's got all the tools to be a solid D-man--obviously they want his full potential, but still. Figure he'll get three games in and get sent down. Make him more hungry. |

I doubt they would bench Amac for Morin. I think it would be Schenn or MDZ. Likely Schenn because they play the same role and Berube doesn't seem to like him. |

No way AMac's getting benched. That would be like the Phillies benching Ryan Howard prior to this year. |

The best description I heard was it's a "New Coke" kind of thing. They went from one extreme to the other, so when they bring back the ice girls (possibly in less revealing outfits) they look like heroes. - BulliesPhan87
I'm leaning toward that theory. But if they bring the girls back and put them in the same orange track suits as the men, then what would have been the point of getting rid of them and hiring an all male crew in the first place? Why wouldn't they just give them the track suits to begin with?
My thinking is a) they will not be in track suits or b) the Flyers think they're way more clever than they really are. |

Well. He played a bad game Monday and then was sat last night. Not saying they should bench him, just wondering if its possible ? |

Other than a less than stellar preseason, AMac has been nothing less than a reliable NHL dman since he's arrived. And I don't put much stock in preseason games. |

I don't know what to expect. I'm just a bit disappointed with the whole "you spoke, we listened" response. Whatever, hockey's back, and there was much rejoicing. |

Had more playoff goals last year than Hartnell, Rosehill, and Link Gaetz combined. |

Glad Ghost and Laughton got sent down to AHL at least for the time being. I want to see their production at the AHL level and Ghost to be given time to solidify his defensive game. As good as he was in preseason, it was somewhat clear he isn't ready to defend NHL competition every night yet. Seems to be a fast learner though. |

Yeah that irked me too. Seemed like they were disregarded a large portion of the fanbase, especially a good amount of women. Utter silliness really. |
