Benning will try to move a goalie, it will be tough. But it won't be from Lack of trying |

I really want more moves made by JB. Things need to happen before the season starts. |

Here is how we know whether or not lack will get traded.
Slow start where we are not scoring many goals. Then we see lack get a bunch of games to "showcase" him. He would have to be packaged together to bring something back. This would be a pretty big trade and unless there is a team that is dying for a goalie?.....it may be a hard sell. But it sounds like Benning and Linden are pretty calculated so there will be some tea leaves for us to read.
Just look at what they did with Markstrom. They had that dialed in.
That being said. I dont see either of them pulling the trigger if they dont get the exact guy they want. The will simply hold on to him. |

Wait until a few get injured, then it will get interesting. I also believe it will be a package deal. - VanHockeyGuy
Minnesota was hit hard last year and I guess it was last year that Rinne in Nashville and Ward in Carolina were both hurt. It has to be a team that is a contender that loses their #1 for us to get anything of value... your are right, prolly a package deal. |

Benning has to move someone sooner or later. You can't say you have two #1 goalies and have one play less or bring in a guy like Miller and tell him he is #1 and don't give him the starts well, maybe you can mislead Miller but neither goalie will be happy. It may work short term but it gets old, see Lu and Schnieds or Lu and the winter classic.
Having some or too many good goalies is a good problem to have. That is why you should trade a goalie, because you have more depth there than in scoring so maybe that would be a good reason to trade Lack - in a package deal to bring in more scoring.
For the record, I did not like the Miller signing and I think it was a mistake on Bennings part. - hillbillydeluxe

This is why the Flames and their fans don't have the so-called goalie controversies, because they actually know what they're talking about...unlike the Canuck fans on here.

My point is focused on the reason they move Lack. If it is to protect Miller's feelings and Benning's decision to sign him (if he struggles), then it is a bad move. If it is to take advantage of a tradable asset, then it is the right reason. I'm not calling for Miller's head yet and likely won't for a while even if he struggles. |

Also, if anyone wants to add another pool I have a few buddies from school that are starting one. I convinced them to pretty much do the exact same settings as ours(but they don't have GWG's and SHP's). We already have 9 people, we're willing to go as high as 14 or16 teams depending on interest. Drafting next week(either Mon, Tues, or Wed at 6:15 Pacific).
You keep everyone except for 2 players every year, $30 buy-in(we're using leaguesafe.com). League playoff winner, regular season champ, playoff runner-up and winner of 3rd place playoff game all get paid.
PM me if you want in! - Nucker101

I did the ferry back and forth this past week. I actually don't mind it at all. I could maybe live on the island. I like Victoria. It sure is beautiful there. |

not at the moment, but there are prospects coming up that have the potential to be one. Also they are spread out enough in development that they shouldn't have to trade them off for nothing.
Hiller is as iffy as miller for a no1 goalie, with the edge going to miller. |

IDK if effort was the issue last year, the team just flat out sucked and was destroyed by injuries during stretches. |

Yup. Canucks fans seem to think Lack is a future top 10 goalie, not happening. He is a solid backup who can carry a team for stretches when starter gets injured.
Maybe if we stopped overvaluing our goalies, we wouldn't have such a goalie graveyard. |
