Yup. Canucks fans seem to think Lack is a future top 10 goalie, not happening. He is a solid backup who can carry a team for stretches when starter gets injured.

Maybe if we stopped overvaluing our goalies, we wouldn't have such a goalie graveyard.

I think Lack could be the starter but I think as most on here might agree he did falter in the later half the season. He needed a good back up or another #1. Another factor was injuries took there toll as well as the shot blocking no mind system that he who shall not be named employed. To much is made of having 2 good goalies. Main problem is we (fans/media) destroy goalies here. Sad really.

I think in a few weeks if Miller is throwing teammates under the bus, fans will start another controversy.

I guess that's our problem ...he either have a number 1 or we don't ....I actually think the combo of miller/lack is pretty good ...but I don't think it is as far superior to hillier/ramo as most might ...

I think keeping lack/markstrom could have ruined both goalies ...Canucks would have needed more than that tandem to get Connor tho lol ...maybe a freak hendrik/hamhuis collision would do the trick

I just don't understand why some the would want to move him now.

Lack still needs time to become a true #1, and his trade value is relatively low right now anyway. Miller may only be here for a couple of years anyway so this could be a key developmental period.

I think the main issue is the Canucks are trying to make the playoffs and can't just let miller start and lack back up ...the hotter goalie will be the popular choice of the fans ...lack was kinda hung out to dry once luongo left so he kinda got an unfair assessment really

Eddie lack is not a legit starter yet ...Ryan miller is ...lack is the perfect back up that can push miller and in a few years could be your starter

This is why the Flames and their fans don't have the so-called goalie controversies, because they actually know what they're talking about...unlike the Canuck fans on here.

They also had one of the best and most consistent goalies in the league until last year. The second their backup looks to be outplaying Hiller they may just go full Canuck.

As for Miller, I wasn't thrilled with the signing, but I didn't see anything from Lack that made me think that he's ready to be a starter, particularly after Luongo left and he was the starter. I'm perfectly willing to give Miller a little more than one and a half preseason games before I grab my pitchfork.
