This franchise has always over valued their backup goalies. Remember they traded Doug Lidster to the Rangers for Vanbiesbrouk in order to protect Kay Whitmore.
Edit: I forgot to add one of these - bazz
Say what you like but I still wish Cory Schneider was our starter. |

Jennifer Hedgehog or whatever her last name is, is ok, but I still don't find her (and the rest of what I'm sure are very fine ladies ) that attractive
(I know, I should @#%@#% talk )
I'm an oinker and this type of lady is more my (and yours, don't lie) sort of thing (I'm not sure, I think there's a basketball in the picture somewhere )

No prob. I've created misc threads to keep it to a minimum, it's nice to have some Canucks talk once in awhile. |

If idiot Gillis wouldn't have given Lu a 12 year deal that would have been a possibility, but that wasn't the case so it was never gonna happen. |

Again, much appreciated. Thought I might try and nip it at the bud, you know how quickly these things can take on a life of their own.
On a much more negative note, I refuse to stop hating Miller. The biggest disappointment this off season. |

Exactly, and Schnieds should have been on the move the minute the ink was dry on Lou's abortion of a contract. I think that Schnieds is the better goalie, but when you make that kind of commitment, then for the love of God, commit. |

Exactly, if you're gonna commit that kinda money and term to a player you see it through. Schneider should have been dealt the year before he was, as I've said many many times.
Lu is a good enough tender to allow the team to compete, Lack should be backing him up again this year and then they should've moved Lack for assets. Regardless if he or Schneider was playing better, when you commit you commit!!!
Gillis's lack of experience as a GM caused that whole sh!t-show you saw last year. |

Bang on!,as you are the majority of the time, also the amount of ntc's was redic & the amount of bargain bin "project players" instead of trying to integrate the odd rookie was brutal. |

I'm not a huge Miller fan, I wasn't a fan of his signing, and I don't think he'll ever return to Olympic 2010 form, but I am certain he's still a much better goalie than what we've seen in these few pre-season games. |

Totally agree on Hedger. I met her once and I couldn't understand what most guys saw in her. That being said, she really knows her poop. She's quite bright and she has a thorough knowledge of the major sports
Interesting note, Jay and Dan hated each other when they were first paired up. Management convinced them to settle their differences for the greater good and they ended up becoming good friends.

I did not know that. It's interesting to hear about these background shenanigans and relationship issues. Looks like their professionalism won out.
And you are right about Hedger (as well as Beirness), they definitely know their stuff. And I give them full marks for that. Again, it's not fair to assess them on the aesthetic only, but unfortunately oinkers will be oinkers (and as indicated earlier, and just to set the record straight, although I might initially seem like an oinker, I assure you that I'm not superficial and can look past just the aesthetic)
Frankly, there are many beautiful women, especially in Vancouver, but I prefer the cute, next-door girl type (WITH a brain, please), rather than the classic beauty who doesn't even know what a puck is and spends 37 hours on her make-up for an evening out |
