I did not know that. It's interesting to hear about these background shenanigans and relationship issues. Looks like their professionalism won out.
And you are right about Hedger (as well as Beirness), they definitely know their stuff. And I give them full marks for that. Again, it's not fair to assess them on the aesthetic only, but unfortunately oinkers will be oinkers (and as indicated earlier, and just to set the record straight, although I might initially seem like an oinker, I assure you that I'm not superficial and can look past just the aesthetic)
Frankly, there are many beautiful women, especially in Vancouver, but I prefer the cute, next-door girl type (WITH a brain, please), rather than the classic beauty who doesn't even know what a puck is and spends 37 hours on her make-up for an evening out - Zogg
Screw beauty or brains, just give me a girl that's got skills and a fifth of tequila will take care the rest. |

I think Miller gets traded to a playoff team by next season's deadline and the possibility of another vet being added may give Benning a good draft pick. Miller's contract will forever be called a win win once a younger tandem settles into the crease (Lack/Markstrom).... |

I really hope you are right ,that would be a bold brilliant move. |

It was Winnipeg, and it was Lack not Markstrom.
The popular thought would be that because a player cleared waivers no one would give up a draft pick to acquire him, but now that he has cleared waivers you could trade for him and keep him in the minors. He is actually "more" valuable now then he was before he cleared. |

I wasn't arguing with you, why do you have to be so confrontational all the time?!?!

sorry, that was for those who don't understand. I like things that rhyme, or have some other sweet auditory enjoyment factor. Thirsty Thursday?, Living in a van down by the river Thursday? Freud Friday? Dunno, still working on it. |

The rhyming thing appears to be Roland's gig, we should ask him. |

TSN headline: NHLPA warns agents that player contracts with KHL may breach sanctions.
Now that's interesting. Never thought that international sanctions against Russia would have an effect on NHL player contracts/choice. |

I don't think Turris will be the problem and I imagine Ryan is pretty pumped by that contract, I don't think Ott had much choice and got bent over. |

Turris is not a #1 C in the NHL, at least not a good one. I do like the guy though and think he'd be a real solid 2C for a team like ANA. And agreed, Ryan would be pumped by the $ amount which might have been the only thing he was looking at because that team has got a long way to go before being a competitive force. |
