Ottawa for 7 years with Kyle Turris as your center? Good luck with that buddy.

I think Turris is a fine player. You don't like Turris? In 82 games he had 26g, 32a, for 58 points. Not bad at all.

I got to believe Ottawa's 1st line will be Michalek, Turris, Ryan. That's not a terrible 1st line. They combined for roughly 150 points last season.

Turris is not a #1 C in the NHL, at least not a good one. I do like the guy though and think he'd be a real solid 2C for a team like ANA. And agreed, Ryan would be pumped by the $ amount which might have been the only thing he was looking at because that team has got a long way to go before being a competitive force.

You posted before I did…

Edit: Turris would have led the canucks in scoring last season.

It was Winnipeg, and it was Lack not Markstrom.

The popular thought would be that because a player cleared waivers no one would give up a draft pick to acquire him, but now that he has cleared waivers you could trade for him and keep him in the minors. He is actually "more" valuable now then he was before he cleared.

Edmonton is so thin at C, you would think they would have some interest in Matthias. How the Canucks have yet to trade a goalie prospect to Edmonton... What would the uproar be like if we traded Lack to the Oil?

What day is it?

We're still working on that. We're waiting for Rolland to come up with a jaunty rhyme for the days of the week. I'm liking thirsty Thursday, but we'll see.

I would love to know the story behind the draft day when Schneids got traded to NJ. I remember the TSN cameras focusing on McT when the trade was announced. You could see the bewilderment on his face.

Wonder what the true offer was and how Gillis handled the trade negotiations with Edm.

On Twitter, you see a lot of Throwback Thursday tweets posting pics of times begone. Given how this season looks like panning out, we might want to adopt something similar to bring the smiles back.

I have a confession... I am not a Howard Stern follower, read one of his books and laughed, or wrestling fan, but I got lost in youtube last week and found myself watching Howard Stern interviewing Gold Dust, a wrestler with some brain tick / tourettes and it was just messed up, wtf

But I am all for the positivity and team building of Tourettes Thursday.

To be honest with you, I think all of the regulars on here have been slowly getting effected by it since the first period, game 3 of the SCF...

Looking forward to seeing what gets decided for our Thursday theme day.

On the new blog, it's simply Game Day Thursday:

Turris can be a consistent #1 C in my opinion. He just does not give everything you expect out of that #1. His potential is still there to get better and I think he can.
