I've been to two season openers in my lifetime.

The Flyers lost both times.

And to add insult to injury, both head coaches were gone by December.

I'm so glad that the Flyers squeezed into the playoffs last year and went out in the first round after not qualifying for the post season the year before and the only jobs up for grabs were two spots on the fourth line.

I just have a hard time quantifying that in my head.
