That would be ideal for him, IMO.
Anyhow, beats report that Hextall denied the report. - Jsaquella
I'd expect him to deny it even if it is true, as we all know he would.

He's been playing well the entire pre season. Awful coverage by the Caps.

Of coarse he did. The report seemed very speculative anyway.

It does make sense to keep him the 9 games. I'm talking about trading a guy to force him in. If he comes in for 9 games and kicks ass, keep him
The thing is, I've watched him closely and I see areas that need improvement. The Flyers say they're going to be patient and work on long term development, well this kid needs it.
Some guys do develop better as pros. A lot more struggle when they're rushed. - Jsaquella
For sure there is room for improvement....growth......and room to mature ......I guess it depends on who the Flyers would move ??? And just as important...for what ? Like I said, he's shown enough to warrant a further little look.... I am all for patience....if in the end that's what's best for the kid.

Hey if he finally gets it and becomes a better player, it's good for the Flyers. I think that's what we all want. We want our team to have better players and be a better team. If Rinaldo can be that, great, saves us from dealing other assets.
Not sold off a strong pre-season, but he has been very solid. |

If Rinaldo did that on a regular basis then he'd no longer be a 4th line player.

If Hextall moved Grossmann to keep Morin and did the same next year with AMac and Ghost that would be one hell of a cap clean out. |

Ha! Yeah -- he turned that guy over, made a nice play. As was said earlier, no one will complain if he does that, because that's playing hockey, making an actual play, after a hit.

Good point. Bill Clement contradicted those who say Rinaldo has no talent by stating that Rinaldo has underrated skill at the beginning of the broadcast. |

Amazing what happens when you have a 4th line that can actually score. Both goals generated by that line. They look really good so far. So has the 1st line imo |

To me it doesn't matter who they move or for what. I mean obviously, the return in the trade would matter, but not in terms of getting Morin into the line up.
I see upsides to both points. I just see potentially massive downside to the fast track. There's really no downside on the slow track |

I'm just talking about making solid hockey plays, not necessarily being Matt Read. |

And that's what a lot of us have said all along -- whether the fourth line can chip in a goal here and there, or can play solid, systems-based defense, they have to be able to contribute to the actual playing of hockey, the scoring or prevention of goals.
They can't just play five minutes a night, one of them fight somebody, never score and then all of them wind up between minus 6-minus 10 on the season
