Budaj sucks. Joey MacDonald is a better backup at this point. |

you should get a composite shaft and use wood blades. that will bring you out of the dark ages but still maintain some weight on the stick. - Fountain-San
I don't like the composites. That would be like asking you to eat a single burger. |

this is really what it comes down to. how can they justify what they did last year if they believe Budaj's a better option should that scenario unfold? seems they made that call already, no? - EricEngels
To me, they went with Tokarski, who some say might become a #1 (or Tokarski himself thinks it's the case) over Budaj because Budaj doesn't have the nerves to play in the playoffs.
But in the regular season, having a guy like Tokarski, who wants to be a #1, sitting on the bench, could become a distraction. Kind of like the whole Halak/Price scenario all over again. Or Reimer/Bernier in Toronto last season.
Bottom line is, they should trade Tokarski for whatever they can get, and find a good backup with playoff experience and dump Budaj.
Scott Clemmensen comes to mind. |

They want $44.99 for the M95 blade???? I get it for $24.95. I actually like the M9 better, but can't find them. |

Well that's for Bergevin to decide...does he want someone who could better serve the team should Price go down to an injury, or someone who better serves the team when Price is healthy?
I was ok with the move in the playoffs...but this year, I would prefer they keep Budaj as the backup.
Budaj or Tokarski, if Price goes down, we're screwed. |

Spot on.
Leighton in Chi is the 3rd goalie. He was goood not so long ago for the flyers and got them to the ECF.

Nope. And guess what? I ordered the last 4 RH ones from them in the M9, and they sent the M95s. I complained and they told me the M95 was a better blade. It may be better, but I like the M9 better. |

It wouldn't hurt to see the Habs pick up another body on D for depth. Bournival deserves a spot on this team, everyone knows it including Therrien which leads me to believe Bourque's leash will be shorter than expected. As for the goalies, I'd rather see Budaj as a backup because of the good vibe he brings to the locker room with his attitude and work ethic. Even if they lose Tokarski on waivers, the goalie market nowadays just dictates that young backups are abundant. |
