I actually watched the game last night. I wish I got to see more of Horvat. I liked the bonino burrows combination. Vey I don't think fit with them. I'd like to see Hansen on that line. I was most impressed with Dorsett, I thought he skated hard shift after shift. Was good on the PK and forechecked well. A 4th line of Mathias, Richardson and Dorsett could be good this year. Higgins has got to go. Shinkaruk can go to utica and play with gaunce and form some chemistry.

He cant be as picky as Kesler. Its in the limited NTC that he has to provide a list of 5 teams. Kesler wasnt bound to those limitations in his NTC... giving Benning 1 team.

For all we know Miller's agent discussed moving onto a contender in year 2. This is an easier way to do it for Miller. Easier to pick a contender late in a season. You can see who has a definite shot and who needs Gt's. Off season you can pick your contender and still struggle to make the playoffs because of injuries etc... Its still a crap shoot. Much easier to see the path in March.

The last time a contender made a move for Miller at the trade deadline it didn't work out well for either side. Frankly, goaltending is the last position I would try to fill at the TDL. I wouldn't hold my breath on Miller getting moved.

Also, you make it sound as though teams are going to be lining up for Miller's services, but they sure as hell weren't this summer.

1. Bonino is going to be a good 2nd line center, quietly goes about his business while not doing anything great, he does the little things very good.
2. Shinkaruk needs some time in the AHL. He's becoming pretty silent as we play more and more against NHL competition.
3. Edler looks to be gaining some confidence, he played well last night.
4. Bo Horvat was invisible last night?

Worked out pretty good for Edmonton in 2006, not that they were a contender at the TDL.

Trust me I (frank)ing hate the Ryan Miller signing here in Vancouver, but he wasn't exactly the problem in STL, that line up was ravaged with injuries heading into the first round.

Bonino or Vey may exceed expectations but beyond that it will most likely be another year of knocking on the play off door.
