What was his suggestion?

ya, I think lack is going to be really good down the road. love his attitude
- numbear

He's a big goalie, but also very technically sound and always looks calm. Canucks once again will have a solid starting goalie for all 82 games barring an injury/trade.

Oh, the one about trading Miller next season? Bit far down the road, but it would be nice to flip him during the 2nd or 3rd year of his deal while keeping Lack.

Haven't noticed Shinkaruk tonight at all.
- EagleNuck

Not good when Sestito is mentioned in gameplay more than Shink.

He's not ready. No matter how much we want him to be.

Yea that's a solid plan. Will have to see what happens as far as Miller's play and where we are in the standings at the TDL. If we are within a sniff of a spot and Miller has been playing ok you have to think they won't do it. Other side of the coin nobody is going to want Miller if he has been stinking it up

Yeah, I think he starts in the AHL. Jensen's even been more noticeable tonight. Don't think Shinkaruk's even seen much ice.

He blew it in STL. If we think Miller is beyond his best now, by the 2nd or 3rd year of his deal he'll be seen as an albatross. Get used to our starting goalie for foreseeable future.

I doubt he goes anywhere this year, I don't see a "player-friendly" management doing that unless Miller asks for it himself. Years 2 or 3 is different though.

Not sure what you mean by this, I don't think there's a huge gap between the two by any means. Shinkaruk is the shinier prospect I suppose

It's for the best. The A will be a step up in competition and he'll slowly improve his game toward a more pro level.

We don't have anyone on the farm at the moment that's demanding a full time roster spot with their play. That said, some will still be given a chance because we're not exactly spoilt for choice.

Just ask Jason Garrison how friendly this management group is

I'm only referring to tonight's game.

Jensen made a nice play on the Edler goal, he's had possession more often. Neither have particular stood out tonight, but Jensen's been more noticeable. Just comparing the two since both are rookie wingres trying to crack the lineup and are on the same line against the same players.

Touche. But Garrison was a Gillis guy. Benning recruited and signed Miller, much easier to ask a guy you didn't even bring to waive his NTC.

If we are out of the playoffs , Miller would be ok to be traded to a playoff team.

True enough, we'll have to wait and see if Benning is willing to be the bumhole that we need, not the bumhole that we deserve

He'll be really picky, Kesler-like. Especially if you ask him in year 2 and he still has a year after on his deal. Year 3 would be best.

I don't think he's a better option for most teams that will likely make the playoffs. And if we are out of it by the TDL his numbers are not going to look pretty. Supply may be there, I just don't see a high demand in that scenario
