After lasts years call up I was convinced he was gonna take some serious time to develop. But he's used his speed and strength to really look good most nights.
He still makes a few boneheaded decisions or maybe can't think the play quick enough just yet.

Id like to see him after another half season in the A. With injuries I'd assume we'll see him sooner than that tho.
And I'm not at all convinced he's a better option the fervency yet.

Good blog. With a rebuilding team like the Oil, I'd have thought that the earlier you get the camp down to very close to the opening roster, the more time there is to actually get ready for the season.
For example Eakins failed in trying to force Yak to move to his "natural" position, despite having achieved his junior success on RW. So now that he's realized (or was told) to move him back to RW, I'd have thought that he'd want to get Yak into as many pre-season games as possible with the guys they expect or hope he will play with this season. Same for other regulars.

Nikitin stylistically kind of plays like Whitney, no? Except good in his own end.

Weird that we could see 84 Klefbom, 85 Marincin, and 86 Nikitin all playing at once this season. How are those popular for Dmen?

Plenty of good third line talent on the wings, I'd be shocked if this team is anything more than average/mediocre this season. Gonna stick with my 8-10th in the West prediction.
