No. Its more important to throw late hits and not have the puck than to actually score. That is why Pinizotto will make the team over a guy like Pitlick. Sure, Pitlick may score 8-10 goals, maybe 12. But Pinizotto will hit someone everytime he doesn't have the puck which is all the time.

The fact that he's like the VP of the PWHA is all you need to know about the voting committee.

I love how hard they argue against "Eastern bias" or when people say "You're ignoring this great player" and they go NUH UH!

It has been pretty brutal. And it's not just that the prospects don't stick with the Canucks, they don't stick in the NHL period.

Although outside of the first round the Oilers aren't exactly killing it either.

That was brutal. I love the people who defended those picks at HF, the facts don't lie. Low scoring junior players don't make it, unless it's a very rare case. NHL bottom 6 role players were even scorers in junior.

I'd only draft players with a pedigree of being a top six player. I don't care if he's 110lbs if he can score.

You should never draft a player hoping he becomes a third or fourth liner. You can build a decent bottom 6 every offseason for like 9 million bucks if you pickup all the players from the scrap heap that teams have passed over for whatever reason. Then you look like a genius because "Wow that GM sure knew what he was doing! He's smart!"

The Leafs built the basis of a better bottom 6 this off season for like 7 mil than either of Edmonton or Vancouver. Komarov, Winnik, Booth, Santorelli, Frattin.
