Datsyuk is better defensively based on all the Selke trophies he's won, still not that long ago and still an elite passer. Datsyuk is still a different maker, the only question within his game is health. You cannot question Datsyuk at any age anymore then we could Peter Forsberg.

I think Datsyuk is still a very good player. But I think age has had some effect on him. It's pretty close as players looking at all factors. And I wouldn't have a problem if anyone felt Datsyuk was above Giroux as a player.

Datsyuk's offensive numbers have never been what they could or probably should be but that's probably because he's so defensively sound.
